Dr. Rachel Hayon
Rachel Hayon, DVM, MS Candidate (Rotating Intern)
Dr. Hayon, born in Caracas, Venezuela, is a trilingual veterinarian (Spanish, French, and English) with European and Mediterranean roots.
She knew from a young age that veterinary medicine was her calling and earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Miami.
Graduating from St. Georges University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022, her passion lies in surgery and exotic species.
She founded the Avian Student Chapter at St George’s University and pursued a master’s degree in veterinary clinical sciences at Louisiana State University, focusing on Avian Orthopedic Surgery.
Apart from her love for surgery, Dr. Hayon enjoys teaching and tutoring, and is completing a master’s degree and a certification in veterinary acupuncture to provide diverse treatment options.
In her free time, she takes singing classes, assists with research, cares for wildlife, and spends time with her beloved eared dove, Dumpty Dragon.
