Dr. Alec Sherman

Alec Sherman, DVM, DACVS-SA

Dr. Alec Sherman is originally from New York, but has called Florida his home for a long time.

He obtained both his undergraduate and veterinary degrees at the University of Florida. Go Gators! Dr. Sherman completed a rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a surgical internship at Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego. Dr. Sherman completed his surgery residency at Iowa State University.

Dr. Sherman gained experience in many soft tissue, orthopedic, and neurologic surgery procedures during his training. He actively participates in research and has presented his findings at numerous national conferences. He is particularly interested in minimally invasive orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries, fracture repair, and arthroplasty. Dr. Sherman prides himself on tailoring treatment plans based on the individual needs of each patient and family.

Dr. Sherman shares a home in Florida with his wife and three perfect pups; Holly, Bodhi, and Daffodil. Outside of work, you can find Dr. Sherman hiking with his dogs, enjoying Gator sports, paddle boarding, or SCUBA diving.
