Luis J. Caicedo Jr., DVM

Dr. Luis Caicedo is a born-and-raised Floridian who grew up in Broward County. His studies took him to the University of Florida, where he earned both his Bachelor of Science in Zoology and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.

He has since returned to sunny South Florida and is currently completing a rotating internship here at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital – Palm Beach County.

Dr. Caicedo’s passion for veterinary medicine grew from a lifelong fascination with nature, science, and problem-solving. He enjoys the challenge of understanding what’s happening with each patient and working with the team to find the best path forward. His clinical interests include surgery, surgical oncology, diagnostic imaging, and emergency medicine.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Caicedo enjoys spending time with his dog, Goose, and his snake, Zym. He is also an avid photographer and motorcycle enthusiast.
