Jessica Suarez, DVM (Critical Care)

Dr. Suarez was born in Miami, Florida and spent much of her childhood in Bogotá, Colombia. She later returned to the United States to attend Fairfield University in Connecticut, where she earned bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance. Although
her academic path began in business, her lifelong passion for veterinary medicine ultimately led her to pursue a career caring for animals.

She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 2024, followed by a rotating internship at Tufts Veterinary Emergency Treatment and Specialtiess before spending a year practicing emergency medicine. Drawn to the challenges and rewards of managing critically ill patients and supporting their families, she returned to South Florida to complete a critical care internship as she prepares to pursue a residency in veterinary critical care.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Suarez enjoys spending time with her boxer, Kikas, exploring new restaurants, watching soccer games, traveling, dancing, and making memories with family and friends.
