Angelikie Zafiris, DVM
A proud Florida native, Dr. Zafiris has been caring for pets and their families in South Florida since 2014.
She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing her clinical training in partnership at Cornell University.
Her passion for hands-on, fast-paced care led her to complete a one-year rotating internship in Emergency, Internal Medicine, and Surgery at BluePearl Veterinary Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
Today, Dr. Zafiris serves as the Department Head of Emergency Services at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital – Palm Beach County, where she leads with compassion, expertise, and calm under pressure.
Her special interests include emergency medicine and behavioral medicine for both dogs and cats – helping pets not only heal, but thrive emotionally and physically.
When she’s not in the ER, Dr. Zafiris recharges by traveling, swimming, gardening, baking, and practicing yoga. She shares her home with two spirited companions: Kora, her sweet and spunky five-year-old Florida red dog, and Nikkita, her opinionated and undeniably charming cat.
