What to Expect
Before your AAT training officially begins, you’ll complete onboarding including the ezyVet Training Academy and other required modules to prepare for success.
The AAT program is divided into three progressive segments:
Segment 1: Foundation & Didactics
You’ll attend daily lectures and seminars with our rotating and specialty interns, led by board-certified specialists, experienced ER doctors, residents, and interns. These sessions cover the fundamentals of emergency medicine and critical care in a supportive learning environment.
Segment 2: Mentorship & Hands-On Learning
You’ll be paired with our criticalists and experienced ER doctors in a rotating schedule to gain real-time clinical experience. For select cases, you may also rotate with other specialists depending on your training needs. During this phase, you’ll also be assigned a personal mentor who will help guide your progress, assess your development, and potentially assign you increasing case responsibilities based on your growth.
Segment 3: Independent Case Management with Support
With mentor approval, you’ll begin managing cases independently, while still receiving support from senior emergency doctors and criticalists. This final segment bridges the gap between training and confident, independent practice.
Here’s a sampling of our training topics:
-
Fully paid, full-time training
-
Principles of resuscitation, fluid therapy, and shock
-
Trauma and surgical emergencies
-
Sepsis and systemic response syndromes
-
Cardiopulmonary emergencies
-

-
