At ACCESS – Palm Beach County, we’re always striving to bring the latest advancements in veterinary medicine to our patients. Recently, our Medical Director, Dr. Marcos Unis, DVM, MS, DACVS-SA, had the incredible opportunity to travel to Italy and study an innovative new procedure: the total and hemi medial elbow replacement system.
This pioneering surgical technique represents a significant leap forward in veterinary orthopedics, and Dr. Unis is thrilled to be among the first veterinary surgeons to bring it back to South Florida. His dedication to continuous learning and professional development ensures that our patients receive the best possible care.
Dr. Unis’s training in Italy was an intensive and comprehensive experience, allowing him to deepen his expertise and understanding of this advanced surgical method. By mastering this procedure, he is poised to offer our clients and their pets a state-of-the-art solution for elbow joint issues, promising improved mobility and quality of life for our pets.
Stay tuned for more updates as we begin to integrate this cutting-edge elbow replacement system into our hospital. At ACCESS – Palm Beach County, we are committed to providing the highest standard of care, and we’re excited to see the positive impact this new procedure will have on our patients’ lives.
