Internal Medicine
Dr. Alisa Berg
Alisa Berg, DVM (practice limited to Internal Medicine)
Dr. Alisa Berg is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and has traveled across the country before settling in sunny Florida. She graduated from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, during which time she became captivated by veterinary medicine. She went on to complete her veterinary degree at the University of California, Davis.
The intricacies and puzzle-solving aspects of internal medicine spurred her to pursue specialty training with a one-year rotating internship at North Carolina State University. She followed this with a three-year residency at the University of Florida, where she became board-certified in small animal internal medicine in 2024 and fell in love with the state’s warm and lush climate.
Although the diversity of internal medicine has always drawn her, Dr. Berg has cultivated a particular interest in endocrinology. She has worked with and learned from renowned veterinary clinician-researchers, with whom she has published and presented on topics in veterinary diabetes.
She has also been fortunate to receive training in the unique field of interventional radiology, allowing her to offer advanced management options for complex urologic and respiratory conditions.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Berg loves to explore the nature and culture of her community. She enjoys the local beaches, springs, and discovering new music and cuisine with friends.
